There are 5 different 6-week Level 2 sessions A, B, C, D and E (30 weeks in total) taught on a rotating basis, and they can be taken in any order.

Valerios’ passion for music and movement began at an early age of 8 years when he began studying martial arts such as jiu-jitsu and kickboxing, whilst also taking up classical guitar and internationally competing. At the age of 15 he began studying classical guitar and repertoire at The Music Conservatoire of Bari, Italy – where he was also introduced to capoeira by a friend and immediately connected with the art form that combines music, dance, rhythm, fight, play and ritual. He trained with a variety of Capoeira Masters, participating in classes, workshops and intensive training programmes in Italy and throughout Europe. In 2016 Valerio was awarded his Blue Cord (Instructor Level) at a traditional cording ceremony known as a Batizado, here he was also given his capoeira name of Da Casa. Soon after he relocated to Ireland and took up a postdoctoral research position at TCD, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, he presently works for a Dublin based pharmaceutical company. He developed Grupo Senzala Dublin under the careful guidance of Mestre Ramos and has since been teaching regularly. Instructor Da Casa currently teaches indoor and outdoor classes at Trinity College Dublin and hosts a yearly Batizado graduation ceremony.

Caitríona Brocklebank BA MA ARAD RTS ISTD DDI NCEF
Caitríona is a fully quallified ballet teacher holding registered teacher status with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), London. She also holds the DDI, Diploma in Dance Instruction in Modern Theatre Jazz with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), London. Caitríona is a fully qualified fitness instructor and received 1st class honours, with the highest marks in Ireland, in the National Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness (University of Limerick). She has completed the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the RAD in London. She also received a Distinction for attending a three-year, full time teachers and performance diploma course at Inchicore College in Dublin where she studied Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Improvisation, Anatomy and Physiology, Occupational First Aid and Dance History. Caitríona has taught in several different schools in Dublin, Wicklow and Navan, both on long term engagements and as a freelance substitute teacher. She has also taught dance and movement to children with special needs. She is currently teaching her own classes (both group and private) in Dublin for all ages from 2 years up to adults. Caitríona has extensive experience as a dancer. She has completed the official dance exams in RAD ballet and ISTD Modern Theatre Jazz up to and including Advanced 2 Level. Caitríona has danced with a contemporary company Cois Ceim Creative Steps for two years and she was given the role of Rehearsal Assistant in her final year. This involved dancing at many festivals throughout Ireland and choreographing/dancing in short films. Caitríona had the great honour of being selected to go to the ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival on a scholarship, where she had the opportunity to work with internationally acclaimed choreographers encompassing many different genres of dance. She has danced in several short films, including a film called Passing. This was included in the Galway Film Festival, won the title of Best Short Film at the Kerry Film Festival and received the title of Best Irish Short at the Cork Film Festival.

Taekwon-do is a Korean self defence system of unarmed combat, famous for its spectacular high kicks and its code of ethics. By practicing Taekwon-do you will not only improve your health, strength, fitness and flexibility, make new friends, get more confident and enjoy yourself, but you will also arm yourself with the means needed to defend yourself, if necessary. 3rd Degree Black Belt John has been practicing taekwon-do for over 20 years. During his long sport career he competed all over the world and achieved many successes, including national titles and European individual heavy weight sparring silver medal. John is a current team sparring world bronze medallist from the ITF Taekwon-do World Championships in New Zealand.Self-defence, Fitness, Strength and Flexibility for everyone Age 18+, small groups with individual approach All levels welcome No previous martial arts experience necessary.
